Mwalimu Commercial Bank PLC (In-Formation) is a new bank licensed by the Bank of Tanzania to operate as a commercial bank, and is in its final stages of setting up operations. The major shareholders of the bank include Tanzania Teachers; Union(TTU), Teacher's Development Company Limited (TDCL), PublicService Pension Fund (PSPF) and the National Insurance Fund (NHIF).MCB is now seeking to recruit the following vacant positions:-
14. Relationship manager (1 position)
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Business Development and Marketing, he or she will build and manage rapport with clients so as to ensure optimum customer acquisition, retention and income generation from sales of all appropriate assets and liability products of the bank.
Key responsibilities
• Own end to end process of product origination to fulfillment and consistently providing feedback.
• Regular visits to customers and product presentations. Availing business proposals to new customers.
• Increasing product uptake by the employees in the portfolio on regular and consistent basis and improve market share.
• Monitoring and influence achievement of agreed service standards within own portfolio.
• Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures pertaining to all bank products and service, including KYC and AML.
• To identify and develop a target pipeline and aggressively market MCB solutions to the identified target sectors.
• Manage key customer relationships through regular contacts and visits by ensuring the effective call program is maintained on all assigned and prospect customers.
• Maintain a high standard of operational control including adherence to Risk Management and Compliance guidelines.
• Regularly reporting to the Head of Business Development and Marketing regarding the status of Business leads, customer complaints, pending issues in respect of the clients.
Minimum Qualifications
• University Degree in Finance, Business Administration or any other related field.
• Proven in-depth understanding of the consumer banking products and the market environment.
• A strong sales experience and a client relationship management role for retail banking.
• Strong skills in credit analysis, documentation and relationship management.
