FREE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY FOR VULNERABLE YOUTH



Umoja Tanzania are pleased to announce that we are recruiting a new group of students. We are seeking 50 adolescents who fit the following criteria:
• Aged between 15 - 18
• Disadvantaged, vulnerable youth who are unable to afford other educational options
• Not currently studying (or waiting for results) or in full time / permanent employment


Once accepted onto the programme, students are required to:
• Have a positive attitude towards education (motivation, enthusiasm)
• Be committed for the full programme
• Purchase an Umoja uniform
• Pay for their transport costs to and from the centre
• Have excellent behaviour and attendance


In return for their commitment and motivation, students will receive:
• Free Foundation Year education in English, Mathematics, IT, Life Skills and Extra-Curricular Activities
• Assistance with the 'next step', either vocational, educational or job placement (dependent on performance for the Foundation Year)
• Other benefits including: use of library and health checks


Interested applicants should purchase a form from Umoja for 10,000 TSH. This form will be available from the Umoja office in Njiro from the 3rd February until the 12th of February, Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm.
