PROCESS PLANT MANAGER
Acacia Mining seeks to employ an experienced Process Plant Manager based at Buzwagi Mine in Tanzania. This role reports to the General Manager and the role holder will be accountable to provide leadership and systems that deliver industry best practice in processing to ensure sustainable optimized gold recovery.
This is a fixed term contract role, with the work roster being six weeks on and three weeks off.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Process Plant Improvement Plan:
o Reduction in processing cost per ounce.
o Increase in recovery and reduction in variation.
o Increase in OEE.
o Ensure that material (high) risks are well managed and that critical controls are effective and residual risk is medium.
o Reduction in AIFR, LTIFR, IIFR and environmental incidents.
o Increase in incident reporting and closeout of incident reports within 7 days.
o Ensure that employees and contractors adhere to safety and environmental standards and any applicable legislative requirements.
o Increase in Mill availability, throughput and recovery.
• Development and implementation of Operational Systems:
o Metallurgical Reconciliation System
o Operating System
o Environmental Monitoring System
o Communication System
o Process Plant Information System
• Auditing and Compliance
o Auditing of the Process Plant Systems, ensuring that improvements are identified and implemented.
o Users state the Systems help them get their work done, and they are compliant with the Systems.
• Management Information
o Ensure that reports are always on time, very accurate and contain appropriate content.
• Leadership
o Ensure that objectives are met by team members.
o Conduct team member reviews, performance monitoring and ensure that appraisal meetings are held.
o Ensure that team members have development plans and that they achieve at least 80% of the milestones on the plan.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Qualification Requirements:
• Tertiary Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
• MBA will be advantageous
• Professional Registration will be well regarded
Experience Requirements:
• 15 years' experience in process plant operations/ metallurgy roles of which at least 5 years' must be in a leadership role
• Must have completed a 6 month business improvement project
