General Manager
The NHC/PPF IPS Building Company Limited is incorporated under the Companies Act (Cap. 212) of the United Republic of Tanzania to undertake real estate business. The Company which is jointly owned by the National Housing Corporation (NHC) and PPF Pensions Fund (PPF) is keen to reposition itself as a major player in real estate business.
The Company is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, dynamic, innovative and committed individual to fill the General Manager's position. The successful candidate is expected to take up the challenge of steering the Company to a higher level and thus lead it towards achieving its mission.
The General Manager shall report to the Board of Directors and shall have the overall responsibility of providing leadership, direction and management for the Company in accordance with its policies, procedures and budget as well as overseeing the day to day company operations.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the implementation of the Company's strategic plan and steering its growth.
Provide direction in establishing sound policies and strategies for efficiency and accountability.
Analyse and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of all existing and future-investment projects, current and future market needs, competition and financial needs.
Ensure optimal deployment of the Company resources including financial and human resources.
Maintain state of the art technology; benchmarking leading-edge practices; leading commitment to quality services. .
Evaluate results on customer services and representing the company to major customers.
Identify best practices in the project development and improve internal systems with an eye towards reducing project delivery time, cost, quality improvement and meeting customers' expectations

Qualifications and Experience:
The applicant should be a holder of a Degree in relevant field with proven track record of management and leadership skills of not less than four (4) years in a senior management position. Should have experience in general management as well as real estate projects development and management. Computer literacy and knowledge of investments analysis is essential.
Post graduate qualifications will be an added advantage.

Employment Terms: The position is based on three (3) years contract renewable upon satisfactory performance.

Remuneration: An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
