Programme Director – Extractive Industry Data
MONTROSE is an international development project management and consultancy company providing support to clients operating in the developing world. Specialized in the sectors of health, education, rural livelihoods and private sector development, our clients include bilateral and multilateral development agencies, the private sector, Non-Governmental Organizations and other development stakeholders.
Montrose is looking for a Programme Director for a programme on use of extractive industry data in Africa and Asia. The programme aims to increase communities, civil society, government and industry access to user-friendly data related to the extractive industry. The programme will include several country pilots in Africa and Asia and run for four years. More information on the project is available for shortlisted candidates.
Key responsibilities:
  • Oversee the country data pilots and manage the country data pilot managers
  • Document best practices and lessons learnt with the country data pilot managers
  • Lead the development of an Open Data platform across the pilot countries
  • Be responsible for reporting to the programme steering committee and the client
Requirements
  • Experience of managing large international development projects in Africa and/or Asia
  • Minimum 10 years' experience of working in international development
  • Knowledge and experience of Open Data projects (preferred)
  • Knowledge and experience of working with the extractive industry (highly preferred)
  • Willingness to travel
