The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is an international financial institution and a specialized United Nations agency dedicated to eradicating rural poverty and hunger. IFAD finances programmes and projects that increase agricultural productivity and raise rural incomes, and advocates at the local, national and international level for policies that contribute to rural transformation.
IFAD is looking for professionals with strategic vision, a solid team orientation, proven capacity to generate results, and a deep understanding of and commitment to development. IFAD is currently seeking to recruit for its Strategy and Knowledge Department (SKD):
  • Director, Strategic Planning and Impact Assessment Division (SPA), grade D-1 A competent and accomplished professional, who will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of programmes, people and resources of the SPA's two clusters: (i) Strategic Planning and (ii) Impact Assessment. The Director will be accountable for introducing contemporary trends into corporate strategy planning and results measuring instruments; and for developing and streamlining robust evidence-based methodologies to assess, and report on, the impact of IFAD operations.
  • Director, Global Engagement and Research Division (GER), grade D-1 A dynamic and accomplished professional, with solid stateof- the-art research experience in the field of rural and socioeconomic development, and an in-depth understanding of related global policy engagement processes and actors. Combined, they are designed to enhance IFAD's contribution to creating an enabling global environment for inclusive and sustainable rural transformation with smallholder farmers at its centre.
IFAD offers a competitive remuneration and benefits package that includes tax-free salary, dependency allowance, education grant up to university level, medical and group life insurance, home leave and pension plan.
