Site Engineering & Asset Care Manager Context/Scope:
Organizational Context:                                
 
 
  • GGBL is undertaking significant change process, principally in the areas of accountability, quality maintenance practices, supply planning, cost reduction and efficiency.   • The role holder will need to develop, support and implement specific plans to achieve standards 
 
Financial Dimension: 
 
  • The Site Engineering Manager leads his team to deliver the AOP within budget.
 
Role:                    
 
  • Provide engineering support to the manufacturing team to achieve the AOP in conformance with all engineering standards.
  • To ensure compliance with Engineering Statutory and Guinness Standards.
  • Implement engineering policies and strategic plans.              
     
  • Purpose of Role           
  • Manage site engineering in respect of Asset care, projects, modifications, overhauls, Capital Expenditures, spare parts and safety to ensure plant and equipment availability..
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies for the site to facilitate the achievement of key outputs of the Product Supply Function.
  • Prepare and manage approved maintenance and capex budgets for all equipment.
 
Top Accountabilities 
 
  • Achieve site engineering Key Performance Indicators with direct responsibility for developing, coaching and supporting his team.
  • Implement asset care and perfect plant agenda to achieve manufacturing excellence through the execution of effective planned maintenance activities (e.g. shutdowns, overhauls) and providing technical input into the engineering teams in collaboration with the maintenance planners.
  •  Implement best engineering practices and provide input into asset care management, managing materials, components and spares required by the plant/equipment to achieve optimum cost.
  • Manage site overhauls to ensure that these activities are completed on time to specifications and budget
  • Establish clear standards for all contractors in the area of engineering and ensure compliance to Permit To Work requirements
  • Optimise product quality, through continuous observation and attention to detail, delivering Right First Time (RFT) on quality and control parameters. Respond to non-conformances in a timely manner to keep processes on track. Apply record & share learning's to prevent re-occurrence

  • External –Regulatory bodies, Utilities Service Providers and other related third party contractors
               
Qualifications and Experience Required
 
  • Skills & Knowledge             
  • Degree in  Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with  (ten)10 years' experience or its equivalent in an FMCG
  • Experience in maintenance engineering in food or drink manufacturing environment is an advantage
  • A member of the GhIE or equivalent recognised body will be useful
