African Barrick Gold's Bulyanhulu Gold Mine in Tanzania seeks to employ Human Resources Systems Officers with experience as a software programmer. This role reports to Section Leader Compensations & Benefits and the role holder must ensure the proper development,
implementation, maintenance and support of the Human Resources Information system.
Reporting Line: Section Leader Compensations & Benefits
Location: Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region.
Work Schedule: 6 weeks on; 3 weeks off
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
Develop software applications which include corporate internetlintranets applications,
integrated web applications, ERP applications.
Desiqp, code and test components using .Net technology.
Fix Bugs identified in the implementation phase.
Handle all aspects of software development from design to coding and testing.
Solve technical problems that may not be well defined through innovation.
Build & execute scalable and visually pleasing projects.
Work cross functionally especially direct interaction with users and system support.
Interact with the management team to provide the necessary support on systems with a high level of customer satisfaction.
Handle daily support calls and answer queries with the highest precision and accuracy.
Deal with real time data and records.
Work on large interlinked web applications
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer science and engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Professional Certificates in programming and DBMS will be an added advantage.
Experience and Skills:
Prior knowledge/experience working with HR information Systems, Information Management
Systems
Minimum of 3 years programming experience of which at least 2 years must be hands on
experience on C# and SQL.
Exposure to working in remote locations will be advantageous
Strong communication skills both written and oral with the ability to clearly present and discuss schedules and plans with operations personnel
Ability to execute project work, evaluate options and to write reports
Attention to detail and the ability to 'deal with numbers
Excellent interpersonal skills'
Strong ability to mentor and work with people from a wide range of nationalities and cultures
People Skills; Team player; ability to put across ideas/thoughts. '
A strong personal commitment to lmplernentation of proper safety, environmental and other
policies and procedures, with the ability to foster strong safety culture among engineering personnel. .
