ULTANT - REVIEW AND IMPROVE PRE-PROFESSIONAL CAREER DEVELOPMENT TRAINING TOOLKIT FOR STUDENTS AT INSTITUTES OF HIGHER LEARNING.
Restless Development is the leading youth-led development agency, operating in Tanzania. Our mission is to place young people at forefront of change and development where we demonstrate that young people are a positive asset to development, and can contribute to real progress towards national and global development targets. Our vision is that young people take up leadership roles to contribute to the urgent development needs of Tanzania as per the National Strategy for Growth and Reduction of Poverty (NSGRP II) in support of the government, civil society and the private sector.
Our International Citizen Service (ICS) programme fits within our strategy of working with the Higher Learning Institutions (HLI) and private sector. The long- term impact is to improve opportunities for self-employed, thus decreasing the rate of unemployment within young people, particularly university graduates.
ICS is the UK's leading global volunteering programme for young people who want to do voluntary development work in some of the most under-served communities around the world. ICS brings together young people from different countries to fight poverty. Young volunteers from the UK work alongside volunteers from Tanzania. Their role contributes to growing the impact, effectiveness and credibility of delivering pre professional skills development to students at IHL while at the same time creating a global network between young people from Tanzania with their counterparts from the UK.
Restless Development Tanzania is recruiting a consultant to review and improve the current toolkit used by our ICS volunteers in delivering sessions to students at IHL. The purpose is to ensure relevance of the toolkit and content to the beneficiaries' education level as well as ensure materials comprehensively fill knowledge gaps.
