ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT - USAID-TAPP Arusha office
The Tanzania Agriculture Productivity Program (TAPP) is a five year project funded by USAID.  Our mandate is to improve the incomes and food security levels of small-scale farmers. USAID-TAPP invites candidates suitably qualified to fill the position listed below.

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT
Responsibilities:
The Accounting Assistant is based at the USAID-TAPP Arusha office, s/he reports to the Accountant. In addition to the specific tasks stated below, s/he is expected to contribute fully, as a program team member, conducting herself/himself in a proper manner at all times as a representative of the program, and is responsible for the safe keeping and care of program assets assigned to sector team. The Accounting Assistant is expected to provide leadership and technical guidance to the TAAP Team, and is responsible for ensuring the success of sector activities and their contribution to program objectives. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Scanning various Accounts documents
Running Bank errands
Filing and inserting receipts
Preparing Petty cash registers
Send notification emails and deposit slips
Prepare Payment Vouchers for Purchase Requisitions
Performing any other duties assigned by the Accountant or Program Director.

Requirements:
Must possess Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
Must have strong analytical skills.
Must be fluent in English and strong command in computer applications like e-mail, Ms Word and Excel.
Arusha residents are highly recommended.
