Manager, Next Generation
Reporting to the Director of UNICEF's Next Generation, the Manager will help build and grow UNICEF's Next Generation (NextGen) by engaging young professionals, leaders and future/current philanthropists who are committed to UNICEF's mission. The Manager will build relationships with NextGen donors and expand the program to new markets and constituents. In addition, the Manager will develop and provide further engagement opportunities for the NextGen members and Steering Committees (with a main focus on the Southern California and Midwest regions), and will connect the NextGen program to the full range of USF and UNICEF's programs, events and priorities.
Key Responsibilities/Outcomes (include but are not limited to):
• Build donor relationships and strategies with Chicago and LA Steering Committee members to enhance the growth and management of the community's fundraising efforts in Midwest & Southern California regions (work with relationship staff and events team in regions where appropriate)
• Manage a portfolio of young, high net worth individuals and their families and work with the Director of UNICEF's Next Generation and Development staff in raising increased revenue from this group of highly engaged philanthropists by soliciting and securing gifts at the major gift and corporate level, includes identification, cultivation, and stewardship
• Strategize the development of the Steering Committees and how to further engage NextGen members in the life of UNICEF (through events, activities, and communication/messaging)
• Work with other USF departments to further develop, market and evaluate the NextGen program to ensure it continues to grow and inspire, motivate and engage 21-40 year olds in UNICEF's mission
• Oversee the NextGen Fellow in management of NextGen website, growth of monthly giving and engagement program, digital and social media platforms and NextGen Monthly Missions
• Work in partnership with the Special Events Team to oversee event committee management, relationship development and solicitations for USF's special events
• Further develop the NextGen remote volunteer exchange program with the UNICEF Innovation Unit globally
• Determine feasibility of NextGen expansion into other geographic markets
• Brainstorm, develop and support the NextGen Director & committee members in special NextGen projects as needed
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of relevant work experience specifically in high net worth donor portfolio management and/or board/committee leadership and management
• Must be a self-motivated professional with a proven success record in major gift fundraising
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, both written and verbal
• Must possess a strong work ethic, have confidence, take initiative and be an enthusiastic team player
• Must share a strong commitment to international humanitarian relief and passionately embrace the mission of USF
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and have experience using a fundraising database
• Ability and willingness to travel in the interest of donor cultivation and stewardship, as needed

Must possess current and valid US Work Authorization and be eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
