The Tanganyika farmers Association PIc is a leading company since 1935 in providing retail trading in Agriculture equipments and property management seeking for a person who is qualified and experienced for the position bellow.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Managing Director the Internal Auditor will be responsible for leading and directing the Internal Audit function so as to provide an independent and objective assurance audit process designed to add value and to improve the associations operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF POSITION
The person holding this position has the following key responsibilities and accountabilities:¬

Checking the internal control system of the Company.
Ensuring that the whole compact including the procurement plan, the fiscal accountability plan, management operations and procedures manuals and related documents are adhered to.
In charge of the performance of internal audits and oversees the management and administration of the internal audit department.
Reviewing and auditing the financial and para-financial activities of the company and submits monthly reports to the Managing Director.
Advising the Managing Director from time to time on the efficient management and control of the company finances and Assets;
Reviewing the systems of internal control from time to time and recommend to the Managing Director for any improvements, modifications or change Conducting investigations wherever necessary and reporting findings to the Managing Director for any improvements
Assist managers who perform operational and financial activities with risk assessments and action plans in their responsibility areas to heighten awareness of major exposures, loss potential and/ or transactional anomalies and facilitate discussions of practical ways to manage or avoid them.
Other audit tasks as may be directed by the Managing Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum essential qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administration, with an Accounting
major from an accredited University.
A Professional Accounting Qualification (CPA or equivalent)

EXPERIENCES:
Minimum essential experience:
2 years working experience in a senior management level in the internal audit and control function of a reputable commercial organization.
Ability to use computerized financial management systems.
Experience in analysis and auditing computerized accounting systems.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Sound understanding of accounting with well developed business reporting skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, organized and detail oriented. Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. Fluency in both English and Swahili.
Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence Senior Management and be able to deal with situations of potential conflict.
Focused on meeting customers (internal and external) needs. Valid Tanzanian driving license.
