Organisational profile
FEDMA is a Brussels-based trade association, dedicated to promoting, protecting and informing the direct and interactive marketing industry at the pan-European level. Its members are national Direct Marketing Associations (DMAs) and nearly a hundred multinational companies from 44 different countries engaged in direct and interactive marketing activities.
Internship profile
FEDMA offers an internship (minimum 3 months, to start in the course of November) to a recent graduate or current graduate student, ideally with or studying for a degree in Business administration, Communication, event management and/or European Affairs.
The internship at FEDMA will allow you to experience the fascinating world of a Federation in the European Union, to juggle every day event management with long term business objectives, to contribute to sustainable management, to grasp the business challenges so as to communicate effectively and positively FEDMA to internal and external stakeholders.
The intern will support the work of our small, young and dynamic team.
This includes (but is not restricted to):
• Event management;
1. Organise the next meeting for all DMA members of FEDMA (DMA Day)
2. Support in organising the Marketing Connection Committees
3. Support in organising any other FEDMA meeting
• Communication;
1. Finalise and improve FEDMA presentations
2. Collecting articles and compiling them in a weekly newsletter to our members
3. Work on any other FEDMA leaflet, presentation, flyer or communication tool as necessary.
• Overall support to the Public Affairs team;
1. Support the Public Affairs team in their work by participating in meetings, taking notes, doing research and writing short articles for members
2. Help to keep up to date FEDMA database of contacts
The FEDMA team will work with the intern to adapt responsibilities according to his/her interests and abilities. FEDMA team commits itself to ensuring that the successful candidate has a great time while working for FEDMA, with plenty of learning opportunities and exposure to "the real deal". Being a smaller structure, FEDMA will enable the future intern to quickly keep up with daily management reality.
FEDMA will cover partially some expenses. A university agreement is necessary.
Intern profile
We are looking for someone who meets the following profile:
• Excellent business administration, management and/or communication skill;
• Excellent interpersonal communication skill;
• Excellent written and oral English skill (other languages are an asset);
• Interested in issues relating to event management and communication;
• Ability to work independently while paying attention to detail;
• Excellent organisational skills;
• Creative problem-solving skills;
• Confident, outgoing and proactive personality;
• Good sense of humour;
• Knowledge of the direct and interactive marketing industry would be an asset, but is not required;
• IT skills required.
