£48,000 – 63,500 (plus London weighting of £3,500 + generous benefits)

The UK Commission for Employment and Skills is currently looking for an experienced professional with a background in research, economics or statistics to join the senior research management team, based at either their central London or South Yorkshire location. We are particularly looking for individuals with strong analytical skills to meet a growing workload. Expertise in economics or statistics is desirable especially if acquired in a policy context.

The UK Commission for Employment and Skills is, uniquely, a government partner organisation led by their Commissioners, who are: entrepreneurs, leaders of large businesses, the third sector, trade unions, Further and Higher Education and others. They work with industry and government to ensure better investment in people's skills to drive economic performance

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead key areas of our research programme in a unique skills body. You will contribute to the development and delivery of the overall strategic business plan, and be confident in your decision making ability within your areas of responsibility.

You will be able to use research evidence to transform policies and strategies into workable solutions through the management and effective delivery of complex projects, to time and budget.
