ARTISAN I -(MARINE ENGINE FITTER)

Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) was established under the Ports Act No. 17 Of 2004. The Authority is vested with the obligation and responsibility of developing, managing and promoting Maritime Sector in Tanzania mainland.
The major role of TPA is to enhance the advantages of the geographical position of Tanzania's maritime resources.

In light of the above, TPA invites applications from suit ably qualified and competent applicants to fill the following vacant posts

Artisan I -(Marine Engine Fitter) - 1 Posts
Station: Dar es Salaam;
Salary Grade: TPGS 4
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake services and repair works of marine crafts engines as per scheduled plan.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as planned.
Perform maintenance works at quality standards. 8.2.4 Perform maintenance works by ensuring safety regulations and health awareness
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Job Specifications:
Academic/Basic Qualifications:
Form IV or VI

Professional Qualifications;
Trade Test Grade I in Diesel Engines.
Marine Engineer Class IV

Work experience;
At least 3 years working in a large Industry doing main tenance of caterpillar engines, cummin engines, perk ing engines or lister peter engines.
Age limit: -30 years.
