TUTORIAL ASSISTANT at MBEYA UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

GENERAL CONDITIONS

i. All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania

ii. Applicants must attach an up – to – date /current Curriculum Vitae (CV) having reliable contact postal address, e-mail address and telephone numbers.

iii. Applicants should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts.

iv. Applicants should apply on the strength of the information given in this advertisement.

v. Applicants who are currently employed should channel their applications through their employers.

vi. Applicants must attach their detailed relevant certified copies of Academic certificates:

- Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates.

- Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma Transcripts.

- Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates.

- Computer Certificate.

- Professional Certificates from respective boards (if any).

- One recent passport size picture

- Birth certificate.

vii. Form IV and Form VI results slips are strictly not accepted

viii. Testimonials, Partial transcripts and results slips will not be accepted.

ix. Presentation of forged academic certificates and other information in the CV will

necessitate legal action.

x. Applicants who have/were retired from the Public Service for whatever reason should not apply.


xi. Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).

xii. Only short listed candidates will be informed on the date of interview

xiii. Application letters should be hand written in English

xiv. Women are highly encouraged to apply

5.1 QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

Holder of Bachelor Degree with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 or its equivalent and must have scored at least a B+ in the fields of Mathematics, Physics,
Chemistry, Biology, Science with Education, Landscape Architecture, Mining

Engineering, Highway Engineering, Computer Science/ Engineering,

Communication Skills, Electromechanical Engineering, Air Conditioning and

Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Chemical

Engineering, Food Science, Laboratory Technology, Telecommunication

Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Excellent English, written and oral communications skills;

Knowledge in Computer application packages.

5.2 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Undertakes an induction course in pedagogic skills for those who had non before Understudies senior members, including attending lectures and seminars,
tutorials and practical training

Conducts tutorials, seminars and practicals

Assists in research, consultancy and outreach activities

Performs any other duties which may be assigned by the Supervisor.

5.3 SALARY SCALE (PHTS 1)
