African Barrick Gold (ABG) seeks to appoint dedicated, self motivated and highly organized CRANES & RIGGING FIRST LINE LEADER  for its Buzwagi Gold Mine. Below are the details for the openings.
POSITION: CRANES & RIGGING FIRST LINE LEADER  
Reporting line; HME Section Leader 
Location; Buzwagi Gold Mine, Kahama District, shinyanga region
Work Schedule; 6 weeks on; 3 weeks off
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Supervise a team of crane operators and riggers
•    Coordinate and prioritize the allocation of cranes to meet business objectives
•    Conduct lift studies for all heavy lifts
•    Personally supervise all lift where cranes are working at 80% of their rated load capacity and to carry out safe rigging practices as far as SWL and angels
•    Log all lifting equipment on registers
•    Ensure company cranes and rigging equipment complies with statutory and company requirements in relation to registration and safety
•    Ensure all lifting activities on site are conducted without harm to personnel or damage equipment
•    Mentoring and coaching within the heavy lift and rigging section
•    Ensure that all cranes and lifting equipmentin your care are maintained in good condition free from demage
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Education Requirements;
•    Trade test qualification in rigging or ropes man from the recognized institution
•    Excellent knowledge and practical rigging experience
•    Knowledge and working experience of mobile cranes
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
•    A minimum of three (3) years experience in supervisory role
•    Mechanical aptitude
•    Experience in Mining industry will be an added advantage
•    Hold and maintain a crane license
•    Ability to read and interpreting load charts and the LMI on cranes
•    Proficiency in written and spoken English
•    Able to drive and hold a valid Tanzania driving license
