Key Outputs:
- Ensures excellence in the planning and execution of Market growth and profit in alignment with company business performance objectives for Wines. This is primarily achieved through effectively leading, planning, directing, motivating, training and measuring the Distributor's organizations.
- Collaborates with Distributor Manager to develop programming that enables plan delivery.
- Collaborates with Distributor Manager on planning tactical and DA budgets and manages day to day execution of resources.
- Collaborates with Distributor Manager on pricing/ discount strategy and generates solutions.
- Collaborates with Marketing Manager on A&P strategy and owns day to day execution of budget.
- Prepares and delivers content for launches
- Has clear understanding of depletion plan, risks, and develops opportunities to close gaps to plan.
- Collaborates with Distributor Manager on AOP, RO, phasing and PAM prep
- Communicate brand, pricing, and execution strategy directly to retail
- Drives high levels of distributor salesforce engagement, accountability, and education.
- Plays an active role in National execution plan distributor meetings.
- Sits on central wine calls and is lead comms contact in market.
- Assist in the Pricing process, including Price Structures, Post Off Calendars and communications with our distributor network, to maximize the potential of plan attainment.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Undergrad degree required. MBA preferred.
- High aptitude of knowledge in Wine with the ability to translate into commercial viability.
- 3+ years of market development and selling experience.
- Outstanding abilities in trade relations.
- Strong awareness of the impact of environmental, social, and legal factors as they relate to the sales process as well as wholesaler economics and their individual business objectives.
- Must understand and develop cross-functional accountability with finance, operations, and marketing staff and support their interdependencies
- Wholesaler management; consumer need states; retail sales in chain grocery, independent liquor and on-premise; thorough understanding of wholesaler operations; designing and executing radio merchandising activities; proven supervisory skills.
