Context/Scope:
Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL) is a fully integrated beverage business in Diageo Africa (supply and demand for beer and spirits) It is a subsidiary of East Africa Breweries Limited (EABL), the largest business unit in Diageo Africa and the largest listed Company on the NSE in Kenya. SBL operates exclusively in Tanzania and is the second largest beer company with a market share of around 25%.
SBL was incorporated in 1988 as Associated Breweries Limited and changed its name to Serengeti Breweries Limited in 2002, and commenced commercial operations in 1996 with one brewery in Dar es Salaam.  The company was acquired by EABL in October 2010 and has three breweries located in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza and Moshi.

SBL flagship brand is Serengeti Premium Lager.  Other brand portfolios include Tusker Lager, Tusker Lite, Kibo Gold, The Kick, Uhuru Peak, and Senator.  Headquartered in Dar es Salaam, SBL is also the distributor of several global Diageo international renowned spirit brands such as Johnnie Walker®, Smirnoff Vodka®, Bailey's Irish Cream ®, Richot®, Bond 7 Whiskey® and Gilbeys Gin®.
Dimensions
The role reports into the SBL Sales Operation head 
When assigned to an activity, the bearer will have responsibility for specific deliverables and will be managed from established processes and best practises.
This role works closely with:
  • SBL Regional Sales teams
  • Distribution partners
  • Planning and supply team
  • Marketing and innovation
  • Logistics
  • Finance and ABSC
Leadership Responsibilities:
Administrative, Operations, coordinating Sales meeting and Sales events planning and facilitation.
Purpose of Role:

 
  • To ensure all distributors orders are timely processed and manage end to end from order to delivery process.
  • To follow up on daily stock replenishment standards for each AD.
  • To manage the administration and operational aspects of the regional sales functions, so that regional sales service efficiency is optimized.
  • To provide the regional sales teams with information and reports that would enable them to execute and implement sales driver activity.
  • Provide administrational support to sales team on trade
  • Support regional managers with Collating monthly reports
  • Replenish all sales documents and act as a traffic controller ( new accounts, queries, pallets etc)
  • Act as a regional traffic controller for sales driver implementation.
  • Update and send weekly cycle tracker to trade marketing and sales.
  • To prepare Proforma invoice for both Exempted customers and key accounts customers all over Tanzania
  • To prepare orders for all distributors of the region.
  • In charge of all sales vehicles in Tanzania, to facilitate the set acquisition process.
  • To have daily communications with Distributors (customers) in relation to their order, their accounts, credit limits and their incentives.
  • To work hand in hand with the logistic department to make sure all orders are delivered in timely manner.
  • To communicate purchase plan with customers and align with production, supply and logistics for smooth coordination of orders.
  • To ensure ADs are well aware on schemes and monthly priority on trade terms and that execution is in place, and if not escalation must be addressed directly to the sales operation head.
  • To manage the administration and operational aspects of the regional sales functions, so that regional sales service efficiency is optimised.
  • To provide the regional sales teams with information and reports that will enable them to execute and implement sales driver activity
  • Co-ordinates cycle and promotional activity for the region
  • Provide Trade Marketing, Key Accounts and Sales Management with commercial support in order to drive brands and channel strategic objectives
Qualifications and Experience Required:

·       Formal business qualification essential (Relevant Degree or Diploma)
·    
Min. 2 years commercial experience in a sales-/marketing/ or trade marketing environment
