UMATI, a member of International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), is a leading non-profit Association providing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Information and services in Tanzania including Family Planning and HIV/AIDS.

The Association has a long history of leadership in SRH program in the country including pioneering in Family planning (FP) services, SRHR programs for young people, integrated clinic and Community based service delivery approaches. Accredited by IPPF In 2011 UMATI is governed by a well established volunteer structure.
UMATI vision envisages a healthy Tanzanian society where all people, especially the young, exercise their rights to, and enjoy quality sexual and reproductive health, information and services and have the confidence and capacities to make a meaningful contribution to sustainable livelihoods. To meet this vision, UMATI is dedicated to improving the quality of life of all people, particularly the young through its programs, targeting youth aged from 10 to 24 years.
UMATI believes in and advocates for the right to informed choice for all and strives to ensure that the community has access to information and high-quality SRH services. With its national coverage, providing services in urban and rural communities, UMATI has a network of Clinics, Youth Centers and a large number of about 1,500 Community Based Service Providers (CBSPs)and a very close working relationship with the Government, Development partners, NGOs and the Communities.

Program Manager
3.1' Reporting to: Director of Program
3.2 Location: Dar as Salaam
3.3 Job Purpose:
Program Manager is basically, responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities of program department and also for keeping a birds-eye view of the program operations. Slhe is responsible for making sure that project is seen through the end.
3_4 Responsibilities:
• Work as the head of program leading a team, and perform liaison activities with upper management and stakeholders
• Provide technical and professional advice to Director of Programs on program matters for effective management of the programs
• Responsible for planning and scheduling project goals, milestones and deliverable
• Champions the development of employee project management skills within the division
• Work in collaboration with finance team for maintenance of grant budget and expenses
Provide regular program updates identifying program accomplishments, needs, and outcomes as requested by the Management
• Administer community outreach programs in collaboration with the Clinic Services Manager
• Work closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation department for maintenance of Data management system
• Oversee and ensure timely submission of projects performance reports to relevant authorities
• Propose achievable programs of implementation for the SA's in line with the Association's Strategic Plan
• Prepare regular refresher courses to volunteers to ensure improvement of their participation in the association activities
• Attending to any other duty as may from time to time be assigned by his superiors
3.5 QualificationslExperience Requirements:
Bachelor of Social Work, Community Development or its equivalent (Masters Degree in Demography, Business Administration desirable)
At least S years work experience in Family PlanningJProgram Management activities
3.6 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• High level interpersonal and communication skills to manage a diverse
workforce with varying levels of experience
• Extensive experience in planning and facilitating community led programs
• Demonstrated understanding of sociaVcultural issues
• Aptitude in common computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet browsers)
• Knowledge of SRH
• Fluency in Swahili and English(both spoken and written)
Ability to prioritize, direct, and complete work in a stressful environment with significant attention to detail
