JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Global Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Generalist is an experienced recruiter who is primary responsible to creatively source, assess and select qualified candidates to meet business needs and deliver on key talent priorities in the USA and overseas as required. The incumbent is also required to possess sound knowledge and background in compensation policies, practices and administration in order to be responsive to the company's goals and competitive practices. Under the guidance of the Global Human Resources Director, s/he will manage a range of activities related to employee relations both in terms of investigations and resolutions.
1.Recruitment and Talent Management :
The incumbent will provide hands-on full life cycle recruitment as well as assigned recruitments as needed to include:
  • Work closely with hiring managers to finalize requisitions, develop recruitment strategies to identify and present the hiring managers with a short-list of candidates for interviews
  • Research, attract, screen and refer top talent by utilizing innovative selection tools with a view to building screened pipeline of candidates in EngenderHealth's key areas
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment process for permanent, temporary staff and interns as applicable for assigned positions and when needed
  • Assist in the creation of job descriptions, role profiles based on the position and company requirements
  • Manage client expectations by communicating project status and issues; resolving concerns; analyzing time and cost issues; preparing diverse reports
  • Maintain liaison with schools, associations and other recruiters
  • Conduct reference and background checks for recommended candidates
  • Participate in international recruitment efforts and related documentation as needed
  • Coordinate the new employee orientation schedules in partnership with other departments. Responsible for the HR presentation component of the onboarding process
  • Manage off-boarding process by conducting exit interviews for departing staff members and prepare twice a year, a summary of exit interviews feedback for senior management
2.Compensation
In collaboration with the Corporate HR team the incumbent will:
· Conduct research and analysis in different areas involving compensation, such as statistics and market analysis
· Define a fair, equitable and competitive total compensation package that fits and is aligned to EngenderHealth's strategy and business goals
· Use various methods and techniques and make data based decisions on direct financial, indirect financial and nonfinancial compensation arrangements
· Participate in salary and labor market to surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits
3.Employee Relations/ Performance Review
  • Assist managers and employees with PEP and PIP process
  • Help employees, supervisors, and department heads to settle work-related conflicts through advice and recommendation.
  • Recommend solutions to administration when repetition of individual problems indicates negative trends.
  • Conducts exit interviews with staff to determine if corrective action may retain valued staff.
  • Discusses exit interview findings with senior management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
4. Human Resources Policy Administration & Compliance
· Insure that EEO regulations are taken into consideration and annually update the Affirmative Action Plan (AAP)
· Demonstrates basic knowledge of labor relations processes and laws;
· Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
· Answer all staff questions/ work as subject matter expert in regards to HR policies and procedures
· Supports and administers policy and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
5. Other
· Assist cross functionally with HR administration as required
· Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
· Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
· Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
· Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transaction
· Ability to deliver training and development programs when requested

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

· Master's Degree or the equivalent Bachelor's and similar background required.
· Minimum five (5) years' experience in HR with a focus on talent management, compensation and employee relations
· Previous experience in human resources, preferably in an international organization or International NGO.
· Fluency in one or more of the following languages would be preferable: French and/ or, Spanish.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Strong listening, analytical and problem solving skills to resolve staffing issues
· Strong interpersonal skills including responsiveness, flexibility, initiative, decision making, conflict resolution, judgment, diplomacy, tact and confidentiality
· Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), follow through, organizational, and administrative skills.
· Cross cultural sensitivity – Ability to demonstrate strong respect for our global external & internal clients
· Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems particularly TALEO, ABRA or similar HRMS system.
· Strong computer application skills (MS office, social media, internet MS FrontPage and ABRA )
· Ability to work independently and as a team member
· Excellent understanding of HR filing systems and record retention requirements
· Ability to foster effective and consistent working relationship with co-workers, managers, and the general employee population
· Must be able to travel as necessary or directed
