Description: As a member of the Finance and Administration Team and Country Support Team, the Project Coordinator will work closely with and support the Country Support Team in support of the successful implementation of the Strengthening Partnerships, Results and Innovations in Nutrition (SPRING) Project. Overall the project coordinator provides operations and administrative support for the project and backstopping responsibilities to the country teams at Headquarters and Field Levels. The Project Coordinator will report to the Operations Manager and/or Country Support Team Lead.Strengthening Partnerships, Results and Innovations in Nutrition (SPRING) is a five-year cooperative agreement funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to provide state-of-the-art technical support and facilitate country-led, regional, and global programs to improve the nutritional status of women and children. The SPRING implementation team consists of JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc., Helen Keller International (HKI), The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), Save the Children (SC), and The Manoff Group (TMG).
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Circulate key project information and/or materials to the SPRING Country team on a routine basis, including results reports, work planning documents, or general project updates.
2. Archive project documentation including (but not limited to): job descriptions, work plans, budgets, strategy documents, and progress reports. Assist in tracking changes to these documents and ensuring that there is a system of version control in place;
3. Schedule routine and/or ad hoc team meetings. Assist SPRING team members in circulating draft agendas, setting up the logistics for the meeting, taking notes at these meetings, circulating notes and/or action items after the meetings;
4. Monitor and support the timely completion of deliverables, such as Quarterly Reports, Technical Briefs, Trip Reports and monitoring and/or evaluation reports documenting program achievements and results.
5. Assist in packaging and formatting project reports, presentations, and technical papers.
6. Assist in identifying and recruiting qualified technical experts for long-term and short-term assignments. Activities will include contacting candidates and collecting CVs, participating on the selection committee, documenting the technical decision leading to the selection, and providing guidance and clarification on the SOW.
7. Provide support to staff and consultants on assignments by providing needed briefings, making logistical arrangements for travel, monitoring and ensuring technical deliverables are competed in a timely manner, and providing other support needed to help ensure the SOW is completed successfully.
8. Participate and support coordination of meetings, seminars, debriefings and other technical meetings, internationally and domestically.
9. Carryout overseas assignments as needed and skills allow.
10. Performs other duties as determined by the Country Support Team Lead and/or Finance and Operations team.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree required; two years' experience working in the field of international health or development ideal.
2. Experience working with or backstopping USAID-supported or international projects; overseas developing country experience an added advantage.
3. Proven administrative and organizational skills.
4. Ability to work comfortably in the MS Office Suite applications, specifically MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint.
5. Demonstrated ability to assess priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
6. Ability to work calmly and professionally under pressure, independently and as a member of the team.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural, team environment.
8. English fluency required; language proficiency in French is highly desirable.
9. Authorization to work in the US required
