A. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supports the Partnership and Field Operations Manager in ensuring the overall deliverables of projects and reporting of donor activities are successfully executed in designated territory.
• Responsible for the sales to attain monthly targets and execution of the marketing and promotion activities as well as work closely with the village leaders, community ambassadors, dealer/ dealers representatives in the designated area of operations, ensuring pumps sales to end-users.
• Keep and send accurate fortnight reports to Project Manager- Partnership and Field Operation basing on specified deliverables.
• This position requires frequent travel in order to meet the field activities.
B. Specific Responsibilities
Sales
• Meet your monthly sales target as set by your supervisor
• Ensure the guarantee forms are correctly filled and sent weekly back to Head headquarters,
Dar es Salaam on time.
• Record all prospects in the prospects book; upload weekly into the Hot Prospect System.
• Follow up on clients from the referral list with a view of converting to a sale
• Implement all sales and marketing strategies agreed upon by Tanzania Program
• Pass the marketing campaign messages to customers by distributing fliers/coupons.
Partnerships
Identifying selling opportunities through CBOs, NGOs, SACCOs, local authorities and work closely with them to achieve sales targets. Execute KickStart's commitments and responsibilities and submitting reports as per agreed deadlines.
Outreach Activities
•Conduct awareness raising activities including Group meetings, village meetings, attend market days and conduct on-farm demos.
• Create a more women focused marketing approach
Commission Only Agent and Training-
• Training of Agents on things like how best to use and maintain KickStart's current irrigation products.
• Assist Partnership and Field Operations Manager on Identify and engage agents for the projects using specified eligible criteria for being an agent for the community.
• Ensure that the group of farmers, women and dealers and their representatives in your designated areas clearly understand and know how to;
♦ Operate Moneymaker product
♦ Provide advice to clients on use of correct pipes; pump repairs and availability of spares ♦Do live pump demonstrations on a daily basis.
♦ Repair and change spares as well as deal with any issues arising in regards to the pumps for their customers.
♦ Manage the assigned dealers by availing all the information and advising them on ways of improving sales and productivity
♦ Ensure that the dealers and their representatives in your designated areas understand and know how to build lasting customer relationships by
- Ensuring that they have enough spares stocked for both the Moneymaker Max and Moneymaker Hip pumps and that they are sold at the recommended price to the customers.
- Train/inform farmers on the importance of farming as a business with an aim of converting them to be Money Maker pump users/beneficiaries.
Reports
Ensuring project tracking tools and guarantee forms are correctly filled out and submitted on a weekly basis to KickStart headquarters.
• Ensure that you record hot prospects in the hot prospects book on a weekly basis
• Ensure you upload hot prospects into the hot prospect system on a weekly basis
• Send monthly work plan to your Project Manager by the 30th day of every month.
• Prepare and send monthly activity reports to your supervisor by the 28th day of every month
• Send Attendee Lists from Group meetings, village meetings every 5th of the starting month
• Send EER- business advance attaching all the receipts to Dar office by 2nd of the following month.
• Send hot prospect report every end of month to Dar office.
KS property and Uniforms
• Ensure that all KickStart property in your custody is secure and in good order
• Manage and ensure the demo pumps and kit are in good condition
• Ensure marketing collaterals at the dealer shops or other points are made available and are in good condition
• Ensure always be dressed in KickStart uniform, clean and presentable
C: Position requirement
Education qualification, Skills, Experience and Competence
• Diplomas certificate in agribusiness, business administration, community development any other related field from recognized University.
• People Management Experience in working with partners
• Minimum 4 years sales experience with minimum of 2 years in the same field.
• Ability to analyze situation and inform line manage well in advance.
• Experience of working in rural Tanzania with a social enterprise, private company or NGO, preferably working with farmers
• A positive thinker with high charisma and passion to drive sells and achieve project targets with proven track record.
• Ability to driver motorcycle and undertake good maintenance to enhance project requirement
• Ability to interact with local community, create partnership and able to identify local women leaders who can act Community Ambassadors to drive sales to women groups.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
• Computer literate
• Willingness to travel frequent l in order to meet the field activities.
