Chemonics seeks a program manager for the anticipated USAID-funded Center for Global Development Innovation - Professional Management Consulting Services Project, under the Global Development Lab. The one-year, $24-million project has three potential one-year options. The lab focuses on harnessing the power of science, technology, innovation, and partnership to source and scale dramatic breakthroughs to accelerate achievement of foreign policy and development goals, and the Center for Development Innovation is one of five centers operating under the lab. The center systematically sources, tests, and transitions to scale proven solutions. The project aims to support the center in its infancy through the next four years and serve as a key partner in delivering success across the range of the center's and lab's work and of other USAID operating units developing similar programming.
The program manager will oversee strategic coordination of project-related resources supporting center programs, Prizes and Launch. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage financial, administrative, and programmatic aspects of the program in coordination with the chief of party
- Coordinate with the chief of party on program strategy and project development
- Oversee implementation and monitoring of all program activity
- Supervise enforcement of proper financial, procurement, and general operation protocols
- Manage and supervise the work of project personnel and subcontractors, including development of Web-based programs
- Support acceleration and scaling up of promising solutions generated by the competition process through stakeholder coordination and limited grants and subcontracts
- Ensure compliance with all USAID and Chemonics rules and regulations
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in international affairs, public administration, public policy, or a related field required
- Minimum seven years or more of progressively responsible work experience in managing complex projects of similar size and scope to the project
- Minimum three years of overseas field experience working in one or more developing countries
