Payroll Administrator

ACDI/VOCA has approximately 70 projects in 35 countries and total revenues of approximately $173 million.
We are seeking a D.C.-based Payroll Administrator who will be primarily responsible for managing all functions related to time and labor within the Agresso Timekeeping System. This position will also assist the Payroll Director with preparing payroll for all ACDI/VOCA and ASI employees.
Responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for training all new hires on entering timesheets into Agresso and monitoring data submitted and approved for upload into the payroll system
  • Responsible for entering project/job codes in Ultipro Payroll System, resetting passwords, troubleshooting, and responding to payroll-related inquires using discretion and effective oral and written communication
  • Work closely with Human Resources to retrieve employees LOA, tax paperwork, salary changes, allowances updates, and wire and direct deposit forms for payroll input
  • Responsible for verifying and calculating pay for allowances, overtime, supplemental, retro, advances, termination, and manual checks in accordance with ACDI/VOCA policies and federal and state laws
  • Assist Payroll Director with validating and reconciling payroll prior to transmittal
  • Responsible for preparing overseas wire transfers, direct deposit notification, reports for payroll fund transfers, and net payroll
  • Responsible for verifying leave accruals and preparing leave reports for the Payroll Director
  • Responsible for verifying labor adjustments, reviewing backup, and making entries into Ultipro and the accounting system
  • Responsible for creating yearly payroll schedule and assisting Payroll Director with yearly audits
  • Responsible for retrieving information from the payroll reports that will be used to reconcile the 941s and quarterly state tax reports
  • Serves as backup for Payroll Director
A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required. A minimum of four years' relevant work experience, with three of those years specifically in payroll/accounting required. Candidates must have strong oral, written, and analytical skills. Candidates must also be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and communicate effectively. Experience with Aggreso Time & Expense Systems preferred. Experience with Ultipro Payroll System preferred.
