HR Project Portfolio Manager
Sandvik is a global industrial group with advanced products and world-leading positions in selected areas – tools for metal cutting, equipment and tools for the mining and construction industries, stainless materials, special alloys, metallic and ceramic resistance materials as well as process systems.
Sandvik has presented a new Human Resources delivery model and organizational structure. The Human Resources Project Portfolio Manager (HRPPM) is a key role in Group HR, HR Operational Excellence. The main focus is to support the implementation of the People Strategy by ensuring that relevant projects are initiated and delivered.
We are now looking for a Human Resources Project Portfolio Manager (HRPPM) for HR Operational Excellence. The location for this position is flexible.
Key performance areas
As HR Project Portfolio Manager you will be responsible for transforming stakeholders' goals and visions into strategic and tactical actions. This means that you and relevant key stakeholders decide which HR initiatives/suggestions are adding value to the business and are going to be implemented through a global project. You will have full ownership in managing the portfolio of HR projects to create synergies between them and ensure that the projects are delivered on time, to budget and with expected quality.
Furthermore, you will coach the Project Managers in delivering projects, regularly report overall project portfolio status to key stakeholders and resolve issues escalated by Project Managers. You will also develop methods and tools for project work within HR.
This role requires international travel and the ability to report to a matrix organization. You report to Head of HR Operational Excellence.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Business, HR or another relevant field, or experience from Project Office Management, as well as five to seven years' experience as a Project Manager in global projects. Good communication skills in English, both in writing and in speaking, are a prerequisite for the role. Experience from working in HR and a formal Project Management certification (e.g. PMI or IPMA) is advantageous.
As a person you are a top performer with an analytical, strategic and commercial mindset. Furthermore, you have excellent communication and people management skills.
