FINANCE OFFICERS
JOB PURPOSE
To provide daily accounting activities to Strategic Employment Solution
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Budgeting and calibrating cash flow forecasting
  • Preparing annual financial statements
  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Weekly cash flow reports
  • Performing monthly variance analysis: forecast v/s actual
  • Liaising with the external auditors:
  • Managing general ledger: assets, liabilities, income, expenditures and capital
  • Filing monthly VAT returns
  • Inventory management
  • Filing corporate tax returns: provisional and quarterly
  • Updating CAPEX and monitoring  fixed assets register :e.g. amortizations, costing and depreciations
  • Monthly bank reconciliations and petty cash management
  • Payroll management: computation timely remittance of the statutory contributions: PAYE,SDL and NSSF/PPF
  • Payments to suppliers: cheques and transfers
  • Ensure compliance to local  regulatory authorities:  e.g. TRA-WHT on rents, management fees, interest on loan , etc
  • Ensure compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IAS/IFRS)
  • Designing and implement  internal controls
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • College / University degree  in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting software
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Aware of general accepted accounting principles
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be 20 years of age or older
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Pay close attention to detail
  • Speak English and Kiswahili language
  • Flexible, reliable, adaptable, responsible
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING                                                           
  • Accounting experience
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED
  • College/ University certificate
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
  • Office environment
  • Normal working conditions,
