Main objective:
The Project Manager will coordinate the component for education and child protection activities under the AVSI-UNICEF project, contributing in implementing them and collaborating with the various stakeholders in order to ensure access and improve the quality and access to education and psycho-social support for vulnerable Syrian refugee children in Lebanon

Specific duties:
- Verify and monitor the appropriate implementation and application of the tools and methodology in terms of assessment and monitoring/evaluation plans for the activities and the teams under his/her direct supervision
- Provide reports to AVSI Program Director and to AVSI CR, on a monthly base, field activities and staff information updates
- Under the supervision of AVSI Emergency Coordinator and the different Programme managers, directly coordinate and participate to field activities and manage field teams of the project mentioned above
- Contribute to the overall programme strategy in accordance with AVSI strategy and considering the context where AVSI works
- Represent AVSI before donors, governmental and local authorities, and other local and international organisations, under the supervision of the Country Representative
- Actively participate to the elaboration of new projects proposals
- Contribute to the sound management of funds under his/her responsibility, through the production of the foreseen documents according to AVSI procedures as well as with the close monitoring of financial resources flow
- Keeping good relations with local implementing actors, local authorities and other international and local stakeholders
- Maintain and update database on child protection, education and child protection activities
- Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as directed by the Program Director and the Country Representative.
Essential Requirements
Candidate profile:
- Preferable academic studies in Education, Development, Social Sciences;
- Good ability to work both in team and independently
- Good ability to manage in a serious and reliable way funds entrusted and to meet deadlines
- Proven experience in managing educational projects
- Excellent knowledges of Ms. Excel/Access
- Fluent in English and French (arabic an asset)

- Strong communication skills and cross cultural sensitivity
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Package
- Willingness to travel within the country
