Liquid Automation System (LAS) Technician - (1 Post)

Reporting Line: Reliability Engineer
Location: Buzwagi Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region.
Work Schedule: 14 days on; 7 days off

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fuel measurement and meter reading once/twice a day
Supervising fuel transferring from ORYX stock tank to Buzwagi stock tank
Fuel reading confirmation to the fuel team and records keeping.
Daily fuel consumption reconciliation and report any discrepancy/deviation to security for investigation. Downloading LAS report from optimum and enter fuel summary sheet.
Fuel spikes check out and report to security.
Monthly fuel reconciliation report preparation.
Monthly fuel report to requestors - TRA Dar es Salaam, Atlas Copco and Finance Section. Generate monthly fuel and Blue consumption.
Supervising Maintenance activities in the fuel farm.
Preparing monthly forecast for fuel.
Schedule for flow meters calibration - Mine site. Fuel and oil stock bulk/tanks reconciliation.
Signing manual picking slips to be drawn from the oil yard. Picking slip generation for bulk fuel and fuel used.
Fuel farm, lube oil and wash bay inspection and ensure safe operation. Assist mobile maintenance planners in their roles when needed. Scheduling for mechanical repairs and services at the fuel farm.
Electrical, Instrumentation, LAS Gadgets repairs and maintenance level indicator.
Daily monitoring, planning and execution of planned maintenance of liquid automation system (LAS) equipment both the fuel and lube installed at the fuel farm and service trucks such as fuel meters, fuel and lube dispensers, automatic vehicle registers and trim line or card readers, ENRAF tank gauges.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-Education Requirements:
FTC/Trade test grade 1 in Electrician/Instrumentation discipline Specialization in Electrical/Instrumentation Reticulation

Experience and Skills Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar position.
Previous experience with electrical/instrumentation control systems is highly regarded. Previous experience in an industrialized plant is an added advantage.
Display clear ability to learn and practice strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Heavy Equipment and Fixed plant Electrician maintenance

Must be willing to contribute towards building a safe and healthy working environment. Performance Orientation, Strong Influencing Skills, High level of interpersonal skills.

Sampler - (3 Posts)
Reporting Line: Production Geologist
Location: Buzwagi Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region.
Work Schedule: 5 days day; 5 days night; 5 days off

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
To be pro-active in all aspects of operational safety, efficient utilization of the resources and encourage teamwork across the departments

Accurately maintain Grade Control sampling, drilling and mining data records and quality control. Basic geological and survey works are carried out efficiently and effectively in the mine.
liaising with the Mine Surveyors to facilitate optimal pit pick-ups and mark outs.
Actively participate with the Grade Control Drilling and Mining Operators, who are responsible for conduct of site preparation and mining activities.
Ensuring all types of geological samples are taken and submitted to the laboratory according to site QA/QC standards. Ensuring all Geological items are kept in a safe and orderly manner.
Other duties that may be assiqned by the Production Geologist and the Senior Production Geologist to fulfil the overall business objective.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-Education Requirements:
Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with Intermediate Mathematic and English skills, that is able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Experience and Skills requirements:
A minimum 6 - 12 months Mining and Exploration experience in a mine or field technician role, preference for Open Cut Mining preferably in multi-element deposits.

Auto Electrician - (1 Post)
Reporting Line: Maintenance First Line Leader
Location: Buzwagi Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region.
Work Schedule: 14 days on; 7 days off

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
Ensure total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other policies, procedures and guidelines.
Conduct repair and preventative maintenance on Heavy Equipment Fixed Plant instrumentation and process control systems to achieve production and cost targets.
Ensure that maintenance practices result in maximum plant availability. Meeting or exceeding planned availability is a Key Performance indicator.
Complete assigned work in safe and timely manner with minimum supervision and to an internationally acceptable standard.
Keep workplace in a safe working condition.
Provide accurate and timely feedback to Electrical Supervisor on conditions that may affect functionality of equipment Work with computer-controlled engine management systems
Service, identify and repair faults on electronically controlled vehicle systems such as electronic fuel injection, electronic ignition, anti-lock braking, automatic transmission, airbags and air conditioning
Install electrical equipment such as gauges, lighting, alternators and starter motors in vehicles
Install electrically operated accessories such as radios, heating equipment, air conditioners, driving lamps and anti-theft systems.
Well conversant to refer to circuit diagrams, and use meters and test instruments to find electrical faults. Adjust engine control systems and timing to ensure vehicles are running at peak performance
Test, recondition and replace faulty alternators, generators, starter motors and related items such as voltage regulators and batteries
Repair or replace faulty ignition, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps and switches
Use hand tools, specialized electrical tools, instruments and machines, including drills, grinders, presses and lathes Solder or weld whim repairing electrical parts
Carry out troubles/looting, fault finding and corrective maintenance in order to solve unplanned equipment unavailability events. This includes troubleshooting the plant control system.
To carry out work within a realistic time, be this time either OEM, locally negotiated or a combination of both or by agreed schedules of work.
Actively participate in training activities to gain new skills and develop full potential

Be proactive in allaspects of Heavy Equipment & Fixed Plant security to pre~~nt and eliminate theft and fraud. Participate with regular safety meetings.
Ensure no disruption to work due to industrial relations issues Ensure adherence to all Barrick policies and procedures.
Carry out any other relevant duties as assigned by the Maintenance First Line Leader

Heavy Mobile Equipment mechanics
Reporting Line: Maintenance First Line Leader
Location: Buzwagi Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducting an effective preventative maintenance and repairs on all Heavy Mobile Equipments, such as CAT Dump trucks, Bell B50, Liebherr Excavator, Caterpillar WheellTrack Dozer, Volvo Trucks and other Heavy Equipments that are used at Buzwagi mine site
Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles. Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerize test equipment and calibration devices and do necessary repairs safely and properly.
Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
Repair, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
Adjust, maintain, and repair or replace subassemblies, such as transmissions and crawler heads, using hand tools, jacks, and cranes.

Assemble gear systems, and align frames and gears.
To control and log service intervals properly.
To properly control and record all findings and spares used on job cards.
To interact with drivers as to vehicle's mechanical condition and roadworthiness.
To give constant feedback regarding condition, services and repairs to Maintenance First Line Leader. To maintain a safe, clean and healthy working environment.
Report to Maintenance First Line Leader any irregularities that may be found during execution of your duties. Maintain a good working relationship with Buzwagi team.
Comply with all PML policies and procedures at all times.
Carry out any other relevant duties as assigned by the HME First Line Leader.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-Education Requirements:
FTCNETA Certificate from the recognized college. Must have Mechanical and Electrical Background.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar position. Experience in a mining environment is an added advantage.
Display clear ability to learn and practice strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Heavy Equipment maintenance. Familiar with standard maintenance techniques.

Geo technical Engineer
Reporting Line: Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Buzwagi Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region.
Work Schedule: 6 weeks on; 3 weeks off
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:_
To provide geotechnical advice for the other schemes and design in mining activities. Geotechnical data collection (logging/mapping/sampling), validation and interpretation. Kinematic analysis and optimizing safe batter/berm design.
Risk management and reporting.
Geotechnical inspections (pits, waste dumps, tailings dams, infrastructure) Hazard identification and management.
Slope monitoring.
Reviewing drill and blast performance and assisting with optimization.
Hydrogeological drilling campaign and groundwater monitoring to investigate drainage gallery to ensure slope stability. To monitor that pit designs produced, meet the required geotechnical parameters.
To ensure quality system is actively applied to all geotechnical schemes in pit and storage facilities. Other duties that may be assigned by the superior to fulfill the overall business objective

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-
Education Requirements:
Degree in Geological Engineering. Rock Mechanics, Geology, Mining Engineering or equivalent.

Experience Requirements:
At least 2 years' experience in Geotechnical Engineering
Experience of small teams and coordinating interfaces with other disciplines. Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience in the design and monitoring of high wall

Very good knowledge of Mine Safety Regulations and Industry Best practices. Ability to interpret work plans and effectively communicate targets and goals. Performance Orientation, Strong influencing Skills, High level of interpersonal skills
