HEALTH LABORATORY ASSISTANT

Responsible to: The Laboratory Manager – NHLQATC

Qualifications and experience:

• Ordinary or Advanced level certificate of Secondary education
• Holder of Medical Laboratory Assistantcertificate
• Must be registered with the Health Laboratory Practitioners Council of Tanzania
• Must have at least three years laboratory working experience
• Computer skills is an added advantage
• Good written and oral communication skillsin both English and Kiswahili languages

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To maintain cleanliness of the laboratory, glassware ana equipment
• To keep record of preserved specimens, laboratory investigations and procedures
• To implement appropriate health laboratory biosafety measures
• To assist in the preparation of proficiency testing materials
• Any other relevant assigned duties

Terms of Employment
One year contract (renewable on mutual agreement)
