Sales Executive - Africa

Potential candidates MUST be based in Africa (either East or West Africa), others are not encouraged to apply!

Duty Station: East or West Africa
Reporting to: Business Development Manager at the KNIPEX Tools Middle East Office in Dubai, UAE
Date of Entry: as soon as possible
Duration: long-term basis
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations of KNIPEX products, and products of our 2 sister brands in Africa
  • Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, trade shows, etc…
  • Providing technical support for customers and answering technical questions
  • Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFQs
    Analyze market and customer needs with respect to several alternate solutions using our products
  • Responsible for pro-actively promoting the products and managing the technical evaluation stage of the sales process
  • Maintain current knowledge of competitive products and system characteristics, including knowledge of local competitive pricing
  • Provide full services for the customer after the sale and during installation to insure complete satisfaction and to promote future business
  • Construction site visits with customers, service coordination and occasional factory visits to help sell and execute specific products or projects
  • Preparing needed documents in order to list our products at end-users, EPC-contractors and sub-contractors
  • Handling the whole process of promoting, acquisition, RFQs, offer, purchase order processing

Desired Skills and Experience

Only candidates based and allowed to work in Africa (either East or West Africa) are encouraged to apply!
This job will require extensive travelling within Africa, therefore valid travel documents and ability to obtain Visas is mandatory.
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:
  • 1 to 2 years experience in international sales activities in the handtools or hardware industry or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English is a must, any other African language a value added), good negotiation skills 
  • University degree, preferably in engineering or related discipline
  • 1 to 2 years experience of working in a multi-cultural environment, especially in the Africa
  • Ready to adopt a flexible work approach, self-motivated and able to work without supervision
