QGC is a leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer. QGC is establishing one of Australia's largest capital infrastructure projects to turn our world-class reserves of coal seam gas into liquefied natural gas (LNG). Queensland Curtis LNG, a priority project for QGC, involves expanding our exploration and development in southern and central Queensland and transporting gas via a 380km buried pipeline to Curtis Island near Gladstone, where it will be liquefied. QGC operates the gas-fired Condamine Power Station, the world's first combined-cycle power station to run entirely on coal seam gas.
Position Summary
The Financial Systems Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the finance systems strategy within SAP by delivering Business Change within the finance function. This includes provision of a SAP super user function to train and support the growing organisation. The role will also be responsible for assisting with asset accounting activities as required.
Key Accountabilities
Core Accountabilities

Position Specific
Under direction of the Principal Fixed Assets Accountant, build the business case and deliver change in the following areas:
• system enhancements 
• process improvements
• projects (e.g. new functionality, technical upgrades, improved processes) alongside Global IT&T
• data integrity across systems

Manage stakeholders across QGC and BG Group to effectively implement finance change.

Provide a SAP super user function to ensure that all QGC SAP users have the appropriate system knowledge to deliver effectively.

Develop and deliver training programs to new SAP users in both the ERP and BI platforms.
Undertake month-end and ad-hoc systems processes.

Provide effective oversight of the systems maintenance and enhancement activities by following up on the status of change requests, systems performance issues and masterdata requests.

Undertake asset accounting activities, including but not limited to, asset records creation, asset capitalisations and monthly reporting.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience Needed: 
• Demonstrable track record of effective business change
• Qualified Accountant
• Industry experience preferred
• Experience with SAP in large and complex organisations
• Facilitation skills

Knowledge,
Skills and Attributes
Technical skills: • SAP ERP FI/CO configuration experience and knowledge of integration points with other modules, preferably gained on full life-cycle implementation projects
• Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) with excellent spreadsheet skills essential
• Knowledge of other systems that impact Finance e.g. GWMS
• Ability to work with HP Quality Centre
Other skills:• Experience of working within complex systems implementations and of delivering on time and within budget 
• Ability to grasp complex issues and deal with ambiguity
• Proven ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical business users and to interpret business need to a workable technical solution
• Proven ability to effectively communicate to a variety of geographical cultures
• Effective team player with outgoing personality and 'can-do' attitude
• Performance orientated, committed and capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to learn new systems quickly
• Strong organisational skills with a thorough and methodical approach to completing tasks and great attention to details

• Ability to undertake occasional domestic travel
