QGC is a leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on supplying cleaner hydrocarbon energy to growing domestic and international markets.
We are establishing Queensland Curtis LNG, a world-first project to turn reserves of natural coal seam gas in the Surat and Bowen basins in Queensland into liquefied natural gas (LNG) – a carbon efficient fuel.
QGC, which is wholly owned by the British energy company BG Group, employs more than 4,300 staff and contractors. 
Position Summary
The purpose of the Facilities Management Manager role is to manage the strategic integrated planning (demand and supply) and functional delivery of facilities management services across QGC's property portfolio.

The Facilities Management Manager responsibilities will include but are not limited to; building infrastructure services, front of house, mailroom, event management services, as well as managing helpdesk, site services, and environmental and waste management services to ensure the operational requirements of the business can be met with minimal disruption.
Key Accountabilities
Position Specific• Undertake strategic analysis of demand and supply for alignment of services provided by the Facilities Management Team;
• Management of building infrastructure ('hard') services – heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC); electrical, mechanical, plumbing, plant management (generators), CCTV, fabric and grounds operation and maintenance;
• Management of 'soft' services including, front of house / reception, mailroom, housekeeping, stationery, catering, meeting rooms, car park management, pest control, courier services, windows,VIP/event management;
• Management of facilities management systems and processes including, Help Desk, Secure Access Systems, fire protection / fire safety equipment maintenance, emergency response / incident management / business continuity planning, environmental, energy & waste management and recycling;
• Work with the Manager, Property Portfolio and the Head of Central Business Services to ensure that operational requirements are identified and taken into consideration when designing any new property;
• Lead and manage a core team and third party service providers / contractors for the provision of FM contracts;
• Facilitation of FM contracting strategies & SME contract management;
• Ensure governance & control of standards e.g. Group Property & Facilities Standard, HSSE & legislative compliance;
• Provides leadership and direction for the Facilities Management team;
• Budgetary responsibility and financial reporting for all Facilities Management services;
• Management and setting of budget and overall company facilities management spend, including the monitoring and liaising with suppliers, challenging cost, and review of resource levels;
• Liaise with internal stakeholders ie. Line management, group financial representatives on the provision of cost reporting and associated recommendations;
• Work collaboratively with the CBS Planning and Performance function to ensure a consistent approach, compliance to all statutory and regulatory obligations and aligned to BG standards;
• Expert within QGC for the provision of advice on future service delivery opportunities within the asset.

People Management• Develop effective working relationships with team members and key stakeholders from across the business to achieve shared objectives;
• Motivate and encourage team through own enthusiasm, optimism and positive professional attitude;
• Develop a network of internal and external contacts to facilitate sharing and retrieving of information;
• The incumbent must adhere to the annual HR cycle and meet deadlines within the appropriate timeframes;
• Build organisational capability through retention, development and recruiting of employees with strong focus on HSSE, performance and culture.

In addition to any specific accountabilities for HSSE, all managers are accountable for HSSE within their area of the Business and are responsible for ensuring that their team adopt exemplary HSSE behaviours

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience Needed
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent project management experience;
• Demonstrated ability to take a strategic approach to the management of property facilities;
• Proven ability to effectively negotiate, manage and deliver complex facilities contracts and services within budget and schedule;
• Demonstrated ability to accept and manage ambiguity / complexity in projects and guide teams in dealing effectively with change barriers and project constraints;
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and constructively with representatives from across the business to achieve shared objectives;
• Demonstrated understanding and appreciation of the role of HSSE in the successful delivery of facilities services;
• Demonstrated competence working with contractual and legal documentation;
Experience working in the Oil and Gas industry (desirable).

Skills and Attributes

• Excellent leadership, communication and commercial negotiation skills;
• As a specialist, recognised as highly experienced with breadth and depth of knowledge in facilities management;
• Strong attention to detail and analytical capability;
• Strong ability to work within budget and schedule;
• Current knowledge of property market trends and developments;
• Ability to challenge others in a constructive manner and to negotiate with and influence key stakeholders;
• Understanding of the Oil and Gas industry;
• Recognised as an expert within geographical remit, with both breadth and depth of knowledge in the key areas of Business Services;
• Track record of delivery and effective management of an area of Business Services within a major asset or a region;
• Has developed an effective internal and external network;
• Proven ability to integrate people, systems and expertise;
• High level strategic planning skills with a long term view;
• Proven track record of management to a budget;
• Excellent communications skills, both written and oral, with the ability to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate with internal peers and partner representatives to influence decisions or ways of working.
Special Features
• Ability to undertake occasional domestic travel
