Title	Gender Specialist
Position Overview	Banyan Global, an international development consulting firm, is recruiting for short-term and long-term Gender Specialists to support a range of projects in our Economic Growth Division. These individuals will be responsible for providing technical assistance to Banyan Global projects as per the following: - Overseeing and conducting gender assessments and surveys - Designing and conducting training on gender mainstreaming and other related topics - Designing and conducting research on a variety of gender and enterprise development topics - Designing gender projects as they related to gender inclusion, gender-based violence, and trafficking - Participating in the development of work plans and action plans; supporting the completion of deliverables - Overseeing consultants that support the gender practice programs - Identifying new business opportunities related to gender issues - Writing project reports and preparing internal documentation as required
Qualifications	Requirements: • At least five years of experience in gender development or related field. • Experience in gender based violence and/or gender trafficking. • Field based experience related to gender topics, enterprise development, value chain development, or business development services. • Experience in proposal writing, teaming, and the overall bidding process. • Experience working with USAID, governments and donor agencies. • Capacity to work effectively in different cultures. • Excellent communication and computer skills. • Ability to work independently. • Fluency in another language preferred.
