Job Title : Project Accountant

Requirements : Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting or related field Two or more years bookkeeping and general accounting experience.

Proficient use of Microsoft Excel Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these requirements.

Job Description :

• The Accountant will assist the Senior Finance Manager and I Senior Accountant in accounting, financial and administrative functions for Heifer Tanzania.
  
• Duties will include assisting in the process of accounting transactions, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, banking, grant management, and compliance with Heifer policies.
• Primary Duties& Responsibilities Record accounting transactions in the accounting software in a timely and accurate manner
  
• Review expense reports and ensure they are in compliance with donor requirements and Heifer policies.
  
• Prepare journal vouchers, payment vouchers, in a timely manner. Assist in preparation of the budget and management of cash flow.
  
• Ensure that grant and donor requirements are upheld, including assurance that all supporting documentation for expenses is maintained.
  
• Seek continued growth in the knowledge of Heifer International programs and issues of hunger and poverty.
  
• Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
