Mantra Tanzania Limited (Mantra), operating as a subsidiary of Uranium One, is focused on the potential development of Uranium Mine at the Mkuju River Project (MRP) in the Namtumbo District of Ruvuma Region. Mantra is completing Permitting and has applied to the Government of United Republic of Tanzania for a Special Mining Licence with the aim of commencing mine and plant construction in the middle of 2012.

To that end Mantra is seeking to recruit dynamic high quality individuals who can meet the technical requirements and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement to fill the following vacancy.
The successful candidate will join the Mkuju River Project Team to ensure safe storage and access to necessary supplies and facilities for Mkuju site.
Reporting Line: Engineering Superintendent
Location: Mkuju River Project.
Work Schedule: Rotational Status, (6 weeks on 2 weeks off)
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
· To execute the receiving and dispatching of stock to and from site.
· Record and manage vehicle movement, service records and control.
· To check fuel samples e.g. water, density and temperature and read the calibration chart of tank truck and the gas station.
· Control all fuel received and all storage in the tanks.
· To prepare daily and weekly fuel issue and received report.
· Raise delivery notes against the relevant accounts.
· Report on goods and materials from suppliers that are delivered to site not in good order.
· Ensure all stock has serial numbers.
· Prepare stock requirements.
· Draw required stock and keep Bin Cards correctly updated.
· Maintain effective stock control at all times.
· Complete report of stock received from suppliers and forward to supervisor.
· Administer all paperwork and delivery notes as per defined procedures
· Ensure Minimum and Maximum stock thresholds are maintained at all times
· Take part in stock take.
- Ensure that all tasks are performed in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety and Environment Policies and Procedures.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Qualifications
· Diploma in Business Administration, Material Management or Store Keeping.
Experience
- 3 years experience in material management, stores or fuel handling.
· Previous experience with Mining work environment.
Knowledge and Skills
· Book keeping skills.
· Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Fluent in both English and Kiswahili languages.
· Computer literacy, proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A valid Tanzanian driver’s license.
