The Team Leader of a Technical Assistance Team for an urban development project in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with the overall objective of developing an integrated land use and transport plan and guidelines to guide the detailed development and appropriate densification along the first line of the Dar es Salaam BRT Corridor. Realization of this strategy will maximize the benefits of this significant transport investment. The strategy should be developed through a participatory approach and according to the relevant statutory requirements for urban planning.

- A Masters level degree in a relevant discipline
- A minimum of 10 years experience in the urban development sector

Professional Experience Required
- Demonstrated leadership and successful execution of master planning consulting assignments of a similar or relevant kind in complex developing country environments
- Understanding of urban economics
- Previous experience with Transit Oriented Development projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and interact with multiple stakeholders at high levels
- Excellent writing and presentational skills to connect with multiple audiences
- Experience working in Africa
