LOGISTICS ASSISTANT-KILIMANJARO



The Sauti Program is a USAID-funded initiative to improve the health of all Tanzanians through a sustained reduction in new HIV infections in support of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. Sauti uses vulnerability-tailored evidence-based interventions to bring high-quality HIV prevention, HIV adherence support, and family planning promotion and service delivery to key and vulnerable populations KVPs) in selected regions of mainland Tanzania.
In each region, mobile Community-Based HIV Testing and Counseling "Plus" (CBHTC+) teams will deliver a package of outreach services that. Includes HIV testing and counseling linkages to HIV care and treatment services, family planning services, and screening for TB, STls, gender based violence, and alcohol and drug abuse. These services will be provided in a variety of settings, at flexible hours, with populations most at risk for HIV. Teams will be based in regional or district towns and travel extensively. The purpose of this advertisement is to recruit adventurous and highly competent clinical and community professionals to take on this exciting work.

All positions are one year contract with the option for renewal; candidates residing in the district pf implementation are desirable

Position: Logistics Assistant
Job sites: (Iringa, Njombe, Mbeya, Dar-Es-Salaam, Shinyanga, Tabora and Kilimanjaro)

Job overview:
Works in collaboration with the mobile CBHTC+ team (and regional and district authorities) to manage team logistics, acquisition of necessary commodities for the team, and coordinates medical waste in their assigned region.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree or advanced diploma in business administration, logistics, materials management or related training.
• Demonstrated experience in the operations management, preferably for a USAID-funded program.
• Knowledge and experience in accounting, administration and operational practices, including use of computer software related to those functions.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to be goal-oriented, flexible and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Computer skills including demonstrated experience with MS Word, MS Power Point, and MS Excel.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
• Must be willing to be based in assigned district with extensive (weekly) travel.
• Must be willing to work off and unusual hours, and travel up to 70% of the time.
• Must be physically fit to assist with set up and break down of services in sites.
• Must demonstrate self-management (i.e. motivation, dealing with pressure, adaptability)
• Highly flexible to accept dual roles and extra tasks as assigned by the team coordinator]
• Registered by PSPBT
