The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) is the UN headquarters in Africa and the representative office of the Secretary-General. We support programme implementation of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) globally, as well as other UN offices in Kenya, by providing administrative, conference and information services (www.unon.org). This position is located in the Commercial Operations Unit (COU), Facilities Management and Transportation Section (FMTS), Central Support Services (CSS), Division of Administrative Services (DAS), United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON).

Education
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Hotel Management, Hospitality, Economics, Commerce or related area. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in the area of managing commercial operations, corporate work experience in any field, preferably in the areas of catering, travel, food, hospitality, supply chain or consumer goods or related area is desirable.

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.
