Job Description

The position of Sales and Marketing Manager consists of determining the demand of the products and services offered by the company and competitors and identify potential customers. It also consists of developing strategies with the goal of maximizing the company profits or market shares while ensuring that the company customers are satisfied, and overseeing product development or monitoring trends that indicate the need for new products and services.

Roles and Responsibilities

The following are the major roles of the Sales and Marketing Manager:

a)         Implementation of the branding policy of the company.

b)         Ensure a conducive work environment and motivation for the sales and marketing staff.

c)         Ensure that the sales goals of the company are met as set.

d)         Ensure high quality customer care and satisfaction for all company customers.

e)         Establish performance strategies and appraisal for his team.

f)          Ensure operations and execution of work plans as submitted by his subordinates to drive operational success.

g)         Ensure cost cutting and value for money in all transactions within the sales and marketing department.

h)         Formulate, edit and implement the sales and marketing policy and operating manuals.

Positions requirements:

a)         Four years bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or Business Management.

b)         Five years working experience in a reputable busy organization preferably in manufacturing industry.

c)         Dependability- job requires one to be reliable, responsible and dependable in fulfilling the job obligations.

d)         Attention to detail- job requires being careful about the details and thoroughness in completing work tasks.

e)         Co-operation- co-operative attitude towards work. Team player with a positive attitude.

f)          Integrity – being honest and ethical in all dealings

g)         Leadership- willingness to lead, take charge, offer opinion and direction.

h)         Business Acumen

i)          Communication Proficiency- Fluency of English language is a must
