This is an opportunity for a graduate in a subject such as finance or business administration and ACCA, or equivalent, qualified or part-qualified, to join the team responsible for the financial management and accounting services and support to the Secretariat.
As an assistant financial accountant you'll use your positive attitude, knowledge of financial accounting and reconciliation skills to deliver financial support to the Secretariat for all of its funds. You will be responsible for maintaining the quality and accuracy of financial information, supporting the monthly management accounts cycle and year end audit process. We will look to you to prepare accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations including maintaining the fixed asset register and assisting with internal and external audits. As an assistant financial accountant, you will work collaboratively with each Division across the organisation.
You will have five years' experience in accounting, strong reconciliation skills and experience in preparing financial statements and for audits. You will be an experienced user of MS products with strong working knowledge of Excel. Ideally you will have working knowledge of IPSAS, and CODA financials or similar accounting package. This is a customer-focused role which requires the ability to work in a flexible environment, and the ability to organise your own workload whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
