ADD International is a UK based International Organisation working in 3 countries in Africa and 3 countries in Asia. It started working in Tanzania in 1997. The Organization's current strategic objective focuses on ending exclusion, poverty and discrimination facing people with disabilities in developing countries.

ADD International Tanzania Country Office is seeking to recruit highly qualified, self-motivated and experienced individuals to strengthen its country programme delivery:

Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator
Reporting line: Reporting to Country Director
Tenure: Open-ended contract

General scope of the position is - within the global ADD International M&E framework - to oversee the implementation of M&E strategy, setting up and periodically reviewing the M&E system and ensuring it is implemented effectively by the Programme staff, key stakeholders and implementing partners. This will be undertaken through the joint development of a shared M&E strategy that is based on existing project( s) activities.

Key duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

Develop a plan for capacity building in M&E including computer-based support that maybe required, organize and undertake training with stakeholders in M&E skills including participatory aspects
Guide staff and implementing partners in preparing progress reports, and then together analyse these reports in terms of problems and actions needed
Check that monitoring data are discussed in the appropriate forum and in a timely manner for future actions; if necessary create such discussion forum to fill any gap
Support external missions and facilitate missions team members' access to M&E and to stake holders
Gathering and analysis of information to contribute into evidence reporting, networking and sharing.
Work closely with the Learning and Accountability Adviser in the UK and participate in cross-country programme exchange and initiatives

Qualification and experience:
Education: A degree in Social sciences particularly research, statistics or equivalent qualification. Masters degree in Social sciences will be an added advantage

Experience:

Demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative social research techniques or M&E experience in projects/programmes environment .
Experience in developing, maintaining and manipulating large data bases and using analytical tools for research processes

Competencies:
Knowledge of disability rights and experience in undertaking disability issues
Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to apply them in project/programme Monitoring & Evaluation environment
Ability to work collaboratively while assuming leadership roles
Undertaking Theory of Change (ToC), the logical framework approach and other planning approaches
Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent : command in both
English and Swahili is a prerequisite
experience of capacity building/training would be an added advantage.
