VisionFund Tanzania Microfinance Company Limited (VFT-MFC) formerly known as SEDA is a fast growing and a reputable regulated Microfinance Company (August 2014). It has an outstanding loan portfolio of Tshs. 12.6 billion and an existing customer base of 5000 of the total customer base are small holder farmers. POSITION; SAVINGS MANAGER
Reporting to; Director of Operations
Core Function; Developing and managing the implementation of a Savings Products of VFT – MFC Limited. Providing leadership and day-to-day management of the savings staff and ensure all processes and procedures are undertaken in line with VFT MFC savings policies.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
• "Champions" the deposit mobilization efforts of the institution;
• Develop cost-efficient and effective marketing strategies for savings products that are appropriate for VFT-MFC market
• Regularly upgrade these marketing strategies
• Review result of pilot test and refine products
• Develop "attractive" name and packaging for every savings product and other services, if any.
Education & Special/ Personal abilities
• University degree in economics, accounting, business administration
• 3 years banking experience of which 1 year in a managerial position
• Proficient of Microsoft application
Soft skills
• Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Capability and willing to take responsibility and highly developed sense of reliability and correctness
• Ability to seek, encourage and lead innovation
• Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor and coach
• Very good communication skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (word, excel, power point)

• To exchange information with the Director of Branch Operations, Zonal Managers and other branches, and ensuring and adequate information flow within the branch
• To market the product and services of VisionFund Tanzania Microfinance Company Limited
• To coordinate and to manage savings and customers accounts operations
Main Duties and Rensonsibility
• To ensure efficient performance of the branch
• Managing loans and customer savings accounts
• Ensuring that compliance and security procedures are adhered to
• Ensure customer satisfaction
Education & Special/ Personal abilities
• University degree in economics, accounting, business administration
• Proficient of Microsoft applications
• Banking certification and experience is an added advantage
• Three years working experience in a Bank
Soft Skills
• Excellent character and unquestionable integrity
• Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Capability and willing to take responsibility and highly developed sense of reliability and correctness
• Good knowledge on economic and financial topics
