The Small Industries Development Organization is a Parastatal Organization established by an act of Parliament No. 28 in 1973 to plan, Co-ordinate, Promote and Offer a variety of services to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). As part of implementing its Organizational Structure it is hereby inviting applications from Suitably qualified, competent, committed and experienced Tanzanians to immediately fill the following vacancies

Reporting to the Technology Development Centre Manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Holder of degree in Procurement and Supply or related field.
Awareness of issues concerning the micro, small and medium enterprises sector.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A business-like attitude.
Computer knowledge in Micro-Soft application packages (Excel, Word, Power Point, Publisher, etc.) is necessary.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To develop procurement strategies for optimum stock levels, buffer stocks, reorder points and order size for client orders. .
To undertake order trend analysis to establish purchase plans In order to minimize capital investment cost on inventory. .
To maintain proper store records for receipt, storage and Issuance of imported or locally-procured stock items.
To prepare subcontract documents for local suppliers, for jobs required to initiate client orders.
To submit regular reports to TOC Manager on stocks, procurement and stock control.
To facilitate arrangements for advertising tenders in liaison with TOC Manager. .. .
To act as secretary to the tender committee and facilitate meetings proceedings and participate in the contract negotiations for procurement of services and materials. .
To coordinate the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bids.
To prepare procurement contracts for local and foreign suppliers. . To prepare specifications, evaluate quotations and initiate purchasing arrangements.
To place and process orders for bulk purchase. . .
To co-ordinate with banking and other import authorities. To process documents related to Clearing and Forwarding ..
To arrange for efficient transportation in order to achieve smooth haulage of goods. . .
To receive and issue in materials in accordance with laid down procedures.
To ensure that materials are stocked properly, tidily and safety.
To maintain all relevant stores records up-to-date.
And any other activities as may be assigned by Supervisor from time to time.

REMUNERATION
According to 5100 Salary Scale SOGSS 1.

GENERAL CONDITIONS AND MODE OF APPLICATION:
All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania and not above 45 years old, however, applicants for senior Positions Who are above 45 years old and are currently employed in the public service should route their application letters through their respective employers.
Applicants must attach an Up-to-date current Curriculum Vitae (CV) having reliable contact, postal address, e-mail and telephone numbers and at least three reputable referees (preferably work related for those Who are employed).
Applicants must attach their detailed relevant certified copies of all academic certificates With two recent passport size picture and birth certificate. (Form IV and Form VI results slips, testimonials, partial transcripts will strictly not be accepted).
Presentation of forged academic certificates and other information in the cv will necessitate to legal action.
Applicants for entry levels currently employed in the Public Service should not apply, they have to adhere to Government Circular Na. CAe. 45/25710110/140 dated 30th November, 201 O.
Certificates from foreign examination bodies for ordinary or advanced level education should be certified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
ii) Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
