Regional Audit & Compliance Support Coordinator
CARE is an organization driven by its mission to overcome poverty and social injustice. The CARE ECSA Regional Office is responsible for the oversight of CARE's operations in the region as well as the provision of support to Country Offices. We work with 16 Country Offices in the region. We are seeking competent, innovative, self-driven and passionate individuals who will be flexible and able to travel extensively within the region to fill the position of Regional Audit & Compliance Support Coordinator.
The Regional Audit & Compliance Support Coordinator will support managers in countries and the region in East Central & Southern Africa (ECSA) Region by functioning as independent appraiser of operations and by providing analyses, recommendations, and assure compliance with applicable laws and donor regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in accounting, finance, business administration or a related discipline. S/he will have significant experience in related areas, including audit, preferably in the development sector. S/he should have a thorough knowledge of internal control systems and risk management, as well as fraud auditing and investigation. S/he will be able to support others to work effectively on those issues. The ideal candidate will also need to be a great communicator – able to prepare reports that articulate emerging issues and defend recommendations in a way that managers can fully understand.
