Managing Director – WSUP Advisory

Managing Director – WSUP Advisory
WSUP is a non-profit partnership between the private sector, NGOs and research institutions focused on solving the global problem of inadequate water and sanitation in low-income urban communities. WSUP' s mission is to improve the lives of the urban poor in developing countries by strengthening capacity in the provision of sustainable water and sanitation services; and raising health and environmental standards. Incorporated in 2005, WSUP has grown into a £10-12m organisation that has improved the water and sanitation of more than 7.7 million people, delivering programmes in six countries as well as having both Advisory and Enterprise operations.
The MD will develop WSUP Advisory, the consultancy arm of WSUP, to enhance the viability of WSUP by generating revenue to contribute towards WSUP unrestricted funds and encouraging the wider use of Low Income Consumer (LIC) WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) service models. WSUP Advisory is envisaged to operate independently, as a wholly owned subsidiary of WSUP, with its own Board reporting through the WSUP CEO to the main WSUP Board. The MD will bring successful experience of organisational development, strategic commercial leadership, engaging, building and sustaining relations with key stakeholders and funders across sectors and achieving financial growth.
A strong commercial strategic leader, you will be WSUP Advisory's ambassador and advocate, tasked with building partners across sectors at national and international levels and winning business from diverse income streams including IFIs and international NGOs. Experienced in developing and overseeing key business systems, you will be an innovative leader, with a winning passion for the impact water and sanitation hygiene can have on the lives of poor urban communities across the globe.
