EDF- PROGRAMME SUPPORT UNITY
JOB TITLE; FINANCE OFFICER
The programme Support Unit for European Development Fund in Tanzania is established within the External Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance. Its main role is to facilitate efficient effective utilization of the - EU Cooperation. The Unit is inviting applications from dynamic, energetic and proactive Tanzania with required technical skills and experience to fill the Finance Officer post.
Summary of duties and responsibilities
• Participate in identification and formulation of EU funded projects and programs
• Prepare payment orders for projects and programmes
• Participate in project monitoring and evaluations
• Prepare accurate and timely payment vouchers and dossiers
• Prepare reconciliation statements for all bank accounts and petty cash
• Facilitate closure of commitments after audit or expenditure verification
• Prepare and review project budgets
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual reports
• Other duties assigned by the Management
Minimum qualifications and experience
• Professional qualification e.g CPA / ACCA
• Degree/Advanced Diploma in Accounting/ Finance/ Business Administration
• Skills in Computer applications and Accounting packages. Knowledge in Microsoft Navision ERP will be considered as as added advantage.
• Applicant should have at least five (5) years working experience in Accounting/ Finance/ project management. Experience in working with Donor funded projects will be considered as added advantage
Employment conditions
• Renewable contract terms with competitive remuneration package.
