It's hard to believe that today 748 million people still don't have clean, safe water and 2.5 billion live without a toilet. The resulting diseases kill one child every minute.
WaterAid is looking for a Head of People and Organisational Development to play a vital role in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world's poorest communities.
Working within the Senior Management Team, the Head of People and Organisational Development will focus on creating and implementing change management plans that maximise employee engagement. The post holder will develop and maintain innovative, effective and forward-thinking human resource and organisational development , using these practices and procedures to equip managers with the tools they need for good people management and effective implementation of an HRIS system.
To be successful, you'll need extensive experience in a senior HR role at organisational management or supervisory level. You will have knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labour relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems. Additionally, you will have solid experience of developing and steering culture change and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
