About MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation (MS TCDC)
We are looking for an innovative, proactive and skilled Evaluation Project Manager who can manage and develop Training4Change's evaluation framework by providing concepts, support and tools to our global training hubs – The Global Platforms and MS TCDC - and thus contribute to high level of reporting, organizational learning, better trainings and learning and impact stories that also can be used for communication and marketing.
Training4Changeis a worldwide network of training hubs for empowerment and activism operating under ActionAid Denmark. We provide innovative trainings and capacity building for organisations and young individuals who wish to take positive action in their societies. We are determined to provide youth with knowledge, skills and attitude to be active global citizens!
The Evaluation Project Manager reports directly to the Director of Training and is expected to have a close working relationship with the Global Support Unit in Training4Change and the Head of Training4Change, Organisational Effectiveness team in Denmark, Training Quality Coordinators and the Global Platform Managers at all the Global Platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leads all aspects of evaluation in Training4Change.
  2. Advise the TCDC and the nine (9) Global Platforms on how to conduct and use evaluations.
  3. To deliver high level strategic reporting to the Organisational Effectiveness team in Denmark covering all activities in Training4Change.
  4. To develop the overall reporting system in collaboration with the Organisational Effectiveness team in Denmark.
  5. To secure that the Global Platforms and TCDC evaluate all their activities according to the evaluation framework – from data collection to impact assessment.
  6. To secure that the Global Platforms use the evaluations effectively for training development, performance assessment and planning.
  7. To secure consistency and validity in all evaluation activities in Training4Change.
Candidate Profile:
  • A minimum of relevant academic degree from accredited institution.
  • At least three (3) years working experience in evaluation of training from satisfaction to impact with an international organization.
Attributes and key skills:
  • Strong coordination and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and anchoring evaluation initiatives in an international environment.
  • Ability to link the practical evaluation activities with strategic reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in impact evaluation of training interventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and facilitation skills, including cross-cultural skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience in the use of technology for monitoring and accountability.
  • Excellent data analysis and report writing skills.
Terms and conditions:
The position will be based at the MS TCDC training centre in Arusha. The position is offered under MS TCDC's terms and conditions with a fixed term contract of two (2) years with the possibility of extension depending on the future programmatic focus and needs of MS TCDC.
