District CBHS Coordinators (x 8)
Reports To: CBHS Regional Coordinator
Project End Date: One year and it is renewable.

Job Purpose
The District coordinator represents Tanzania Red Cross Society in all matters related to the CBHS project. S/he is responsible for overall implementation of the project, including work plan development, supervision, oversight of other team members work, liaising with local government and coordination with other donors. She/he will supervise the project management team and will have primary responsibility for ensuring that all CBHS implementation regulations are properly followed through the life of the agreement.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct all TRCS activities in the district.
Develop, monitor, evaluate and documents CBHS project activities
In consultation with partners, organize and schedule technical assistance to CBHS project sites including the local Implementing Partners (IPs) and other community-based organizations (CBOs), and ensure compliance with TRCS requirements in programmatic and financial management of projects Prepare and present, in a timely fashion, all project documents, including annual work plans, progress and financial reports, and special reports
Work closely with NACP to facilitate and support collaboration of CBHS activities, including quarterly/semi-annual review meeting
Ensure the effective management, planning, implementation, financial management and evaluation of CBHS program
Monitor project accomplishments, including achievement of milestones and status of output indicators, through regular field visits, and take corrective action when necessary to keep the project on course to achieve its objectives
Liaises with government officials (NACP, Local Government), collaborating agencies, NGOs/CBOs, and donor agencies in the area of HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support services
Travel within the CBHS project sites as necessary to satisfactorily discharge assigned duties and responsibilities
Prepare relevant CBHS technical papers for dissemination or publication
Prepare routine and specialized reports on project at the request of TRCS Headquarters
Performs any other duties as assigned by the TRCS Health director

Basic Requirements
Degree/advanced Diploma in Social work ,Community development , Social Sciences or related field( background of health is added advantage )
Minimum 3-5 years field experience in managing reproductive health programs including HIV/AIDS, Home Based Care and Home counseling and testing
Experience working with and collaborating with various partners, including Government (Ministry of Health), Faith Based Organizations (FBO), NGOs, CBOs and private sector
Familiarity with principles and practices of community, HIV/AIDS care, support and prevention work
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good team player
Willingness to travel
Excellent computer skills
Ability to work well under pressure, effectively, independently and across cultural environments; must be able to meet strict deadlines
Fluency in English and Kiswahili are essential

Demonstrated experience implementing projects through partner organizations and collaboration with academia, stakeholders and Local government for program quality.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and achieve results through teams and collaboration Understanding of project financial budgeting and resource management.
